In honor of Warby Parker’s launch of the Beacon Collection, we were asked to team up with the iconic eyewear brand to announce the new line and share our thoughts on the designs. The Beacon Collection got its name from the morning star, which is seen just after sunset or just before sunrise. That’s why Beacon glasses are made to accompany you to those late night dates, all-nighters, and outings with no destination. They can transition seamlessly to wherever you may end up, no matter the time. In all, they were created to reflect and bring out the spontaneity in all of us.

Although we think there’s a style to suit everyone, we each have our own top picks. As for Cailin: I love the Nancy sunglasses in Lemon! Although yellow is my favorite color, they also caught my eye because these glasses are fun, loud, and perfect for standing out at any big summer event. For a more versatile, every day look, I would choose the Ingram sunglasses in Turtle Tortoise. You can check out these exact frames by visiting www.warbyparker.com/sunglasses.

Tara’s picks: My go-to style would also be the Ingram design in Tiger Tortoise. The square lenses make them edgy while the color of the frame and lenses make them lighter. They would be a great pair of sunglasses to transition from dusk to a bright early morning. I also tend to lean towards sunglasses that have a dipped browline frame because they contour the shape of your natural brow structure and don’t block your face’s features.

At the same time, the color is neutral enough to be paired with a neon bright lip, glittery eye makeup or a pattern-filled outfit.

The Beacon Collection has other great styles like the Garrett, which comes in both eyeglasses and shades. If you find you look best in glasses with a flat browline, you’ll love this style.

As always, for every pair of glasses sold, they distribute a pair to someone in need through their non-profit partners!

Starting today, the Beacon Collection is available at WarbyParker.com/Beacon and at your local Warby Parker store or showroom.
