Game Day Style

We’re excited to be collaborating with Fanatics and putting together some looks using their awesome baseball caps. As we both love baseball and go to games every summer, putting together a sporty chic outfit was right up our alley! Fanatics has a ton of choices for every team and the styles go from classic, to distressed, to colorful, and even include snapbacks and winter hats. We had a lot of fun going through the baseball hats and choosing the ones that we each wanted to use for our game day look. As we’re huge New York Mets fans, we both had to pick a Mets hat and create an outfit around it that we would actually wear to Citi Field.

C: As for my specific look, I chose the Mets New Era White Front Diamond Era flex hat. Since Mr. Met is my favorite mascot and I’m always looking for Mets apparel with him on it, I couldn’t help but choose a hat that has him embroidered on the front. It’s not the typical Mets hat with the NY logo, which makes me want it even more! I also like that it’s white so if you have the chance to get a player’s autograph, it will show up perfectly on this hat! Last summer when I went to Citi Field, former pitcher John Franco was signing autographs and I really wish I had this hat for him to sign at the time.

Along with the hat, to make a complete outfit, I added a classic striped shirt with a bright orange Mets necklace to give it a pop of color. Since I wanted the hat to stand out the most, a striped shirt and plain distressed white shorts both complement the hat and give the look a casual, sporty, yet fashionable look. Blue Converse match the hat perfectly as well, along with blue tinted sunglasses that also help keep the sun away during a summer day at the ballpark. Finally, I had to add the Mets Dooney & Bourke wristlet! When I saw their new MLB line I knew I needed one of their Mets bags immediately. Fanatics also sells this wristlet on their website and it is the perfect way to carry your belongings but show support for your team at the same time.

T: For my look, I chose a Mets hat of course, but picked the ’47 Brand Bergan Brights adjustable hat. I loved that the hat was so bright and really stood out, but at the same time was clean and simple. I also don’t own any fully orange Mets hats, so this is the perfect one to add to my wardrobe next! Since this hat really speaks for itself, I made the rest of the look a little more understated but full of Mets accents. The white v-neck and high waisted shorts are summer staples for many, so it’s an easy way to use what you already own for a day at the game. To make the outfit more Mets oriented, I added a cute heart shaped necklace with the logo, which would look great with the v-neck tee! I also added a pair of sporty white Converse and ankle length Mets socks to make the outfit a little more fun. If you look, you’ll see the socks look differently when they’re folded down so it’s even better that you can wear them in two ways. This outfit is full of Mets colors and I love that the hat is the centerpiece of it all.

Don’t forget to check out the hats at Fanatics and pick one that’s perfect for you! Because really, how can you go to a baseball game without a baseball cap?
