I’m always on the lookout for really simple ways to make salads or yogurt a little different. The other day I had a salad from a restaurant that had these delicious sweet and spicy pecans in them. I searched online for the simplest recipe I could find and found one with just four ingredients on Once Upon A Chef.
All you need is:
1/2 cup Confectioners Sugar
3/4 teaspoon Salt
1/2 teaspoon Cayenne Pepper
2 cups Pecans
The whole process is super simple and quick! Set the oven at 350º and just mix the confectioners sugar, salt, cayenne pepper and pecans in a mixing bowl with four teaspoons of water.
Mix until the dry ingredients become a glaze and cover all of the pecans thoroughly. Place the pecans on a parchment lined baking sheet and cook for about 12 min. or until crispy on top and caramelized on the bottom. I just used a glass baking dish since I didn’t have any parchment paper on me.
These sweet and spicy pecans go great in a salad, yogurt, ice cream, or just to snack on. Enjoy!
