We were excited to receive February’s Fruit for Thought box, especially since it’s theme was “Strawberries & Champagne” – the perfect Valentine’s Day combo! Fruit for Thought is a monthly subscription box for all those fruit lovers out there. Each month they have a new fruit-centered theme and in the past have done boxes like Piña Colada, Fruit Salad, and Pink Lemonade!
We wanted to give a little review of the box and all the fun items it contained — kind of like an unboxing! Subscription boxes are great because they’re so fun to go through and discover new item after item! Fruit for Thought’s boxes have 6-8 curated items all centering on the monthly theme.
So first off! We loved opening the box to it’s cute packaging — tied with fruit ribbon and all! Then once you open it, there’s a list of all the items the box contains and the individual sellers they come from. It was great to see so many Etsy businesses being supported!
Being the chocolate lovers we are, especially with Valentine’s Day coming up, our eyes went straight to the sweets! We got Lindt truffles which are always our favorite and thought these hot chocolate spoons were adorable! We’ve seen similar spoons before but have never tried them – and loved how these were all cutely decorated and had different flavors. They only thing we would’ve hoped for, was a little more chocolate on the spoons. The hot chocolate they made was a little light for our taste, but we are used to homemade and NYC hot cocoa!
What to put with that hot chocolate? Champagne marshmallows!! Yes, you read that correctly! The box fittingly came with champagne marshmallows from ShopXOMarshmallows and they are delicious! They’re huge and fluffy and such a unique idea.
All of the items really complemented each other well – because while you’re drinking that hot chocolate, you have the perfect strawberry/champagne bubble bath tools waiting for you! This gorgeous bubble bath is sweet strawberry champagne scented and even looks like a mini champagne bottle. It smells SO GOOD you guys! We also were super excited about this chocolate covered strawberry donut bath bomb. Also A+ in the scent department and it’s just the cutest!
Finally to round out the theme, the box had these wire wrapped pearl studs that will be a classic addition to Tara’s earring collection (Cailin over here still doesn’t have her ears pierced…) but these earrings are perfect and girly for Valentine’s Day activities! Finally this Strawberries “Yum” Card just screams the box’s theme out! We love sending out “Just Because” cards, so we’re definitely going to do that with this.
We thought the Fruit for Thought box had such a good variety of items and it was so fun to open and discover all these products! It’s a great gift for a friend or fruit loving family members or something to get for yourself if you love having exciting mail to open. We love that subscription boxes are something to look forward to and be surprised by each month! At Fruit for Thought, you can get the full sized box like we did, or get a smaller version of the monthly box with 3-4 items! They also have an online shop that allows you to purchase previous versions of the boxes or individual items if you missed your favorite fruit’s month!
We have a coupon code for you guys if you’re looking to get a subscription for yourself! Use the code CASTLE10 to get 10% off your first month! Now get ready for March because their new theme is going to be Apple Pie A’La’Mode! Pie and icecream! What’s better than that!?
