Track season in Saratoga Springs, NY is in full swing! Cailin and I always make a few trips to the track each summer and this time we had the opportunity to stay at the wonderful Inn at Five Points. The Bed & Breakfast is situated perfectly in a great location for the Saratoga Race Track, SPAC, Congress Park and Broadway. We are walkers by nature and walked to the park, track and Broadway from The Inn with ease.
Our stay at The Inn at Five Points was actually our first experience at a B&B and we can’t say enough about how beautiful the interior was. The owners did a great job renovating the 1886 historical building with tasteful furnishings, artwork and decor while keeping the building’s original charm.
After check-in, we spent a great deal of time just ooing and ahhing at how cute everything was. We loved admiring the horse photography displayed throughout the Inn by a local photographer! Our room on the second floor was just as adorable as the downstairs living and dining areas. The bed was oh so comfortable and each room comes with complimentary sparkling Saratoga water, which is a nice local touch. The TVs in the room also have access to Netflix, which we thought was a bonus for anyone in the middle of a good Netflix run – and lets be real… who isn’t knee deep in a Netflix series these days, haha!
Cailin and I are also huge customer service people and The Inn at Five Points didn’t disappoint in this area. Their staff is extremely friendly and they’re happy to make your stay as comfortable as possible. The Inn also offers a stocked bar cart and a Keurig for guest access around the clock, as well as a communal fridge and wine cooler.
The Inn is also right across from Five Points Grocery which has awesome sandwiches, baked goods and other grocery items. If you’re an early riser and plan on heading out before breakfast is served at The Inn, they’ve teamed up with Five Points Grocery to provide you a free breakfast option!
Now on to breakfast! Their breakfast menu changes seasonally and features locally grown and organic ingredients. For our stay we could choose between three menu options of chocolate chip pancakes and sausage, an egg dish with toast and sausage or a healthy granola bowl. Being the sweet tooths that we are, we both got the chocolate chip pancakes and thought they were delicious and packed with chocolaty goodness.
Some of The Inn at Five Point’s local vendors include Wired, Saratoga Tea & Honey Company, Saratoga Farmers’ Market, Battenkill Valley Creamery and the Thirsty Owl among several others. Cailin loved this Saratoga Springs, NY Apolis bag that they placed in the room! The Inn takes much pride in supporting their local and small business partners. These local touches not only allow guests to experience what the area has to offer, but also adds a sense of community pride to their stay.
After breakfast we spent some time on the front porch just relaxing, people watching and sipping some coffee before we stopped by the track for Opening Day. As we mentioned before, we walked to the track straight from the Inn, which made things so much easier as we didn’t have to deal with parking or traffic! The Inn at Five Points is just the best place to stay during Saratoga Track Season or for anyone wanting a quintessential Saratogian experience.
