I love a fun skater dress. The best part about them is they flatter just about every body type and they’re super comfortable. This dress also has some cool details like ruching on the sleeves, which give it a vintage vibe that I’m all about. I wore this one on my birthday, back in June (apologies, Cai and I are playing some serious catch up on here haha), because I like to dress up a bit every year on my bday.

Cailin and I have always wanted to do a carnival shoot after seeing some of the amazing shots other photographers get there. Luckily a carnival makes a stop two minutes from where we live every summer. I’d like to say that we were super on top of our goal to have a carnival shoot, but we ended up being super busy and almost forgot about it. We ended up going on the second to last day that it was open and 30min. before it closed, which in hindsight was probably a good decision because the crowds were gone.

When celebrating a patriotic holiday it’s always time to break out the red, white and blue. Normally, Cailin and I do the stereotypical trip to a lake for Memorial Day, but this time we just did a relaxing at-home meal, since our summer is packed with trips and freelance gigs. In turn, I kept it casual with a pair of distressed boyfriend jeans and this red bandanna tank from my Mom’s 90s closet. I finished the look with a pair of lace-up espadrilles.

Collared tees are such a simple way to get both a polished and casual look perfect for summer. I got this one thrifting, as usual, but it’s really Mossimo, which was a brand that you normally found at Target. However, if I remember correctly Target has since dropped the brand.

Y’all know I love thrifting and finding great vintage pieces. I found this amazing 40s style dress on my last thrifting adventure and it has become one of my favorite vintage purchases. It has so many cute details and is a great representation of how Dior’s “New Look” trickled down into casual ready-to-wear during the late 1940s.

There is nothing more simple, easy and cute to throw on than a swing dress when the weather starts getting warmer. I found this one at Burke’s Outlet on our recent trip to visit family in New Mexico. Burke’s Outlet is pretty similar to a T.J. Maxx or Marshalls, but it is even better because it is named after us!

Our amazingly cool friend recently started an Instagram page (baW) that showcases inspiring women and how they’re killin’ it in their respective fields. We were honored when she asked us to do a short interview for their Women Crush Wednesday feature, so we commemorated the event by getting some new headshots and product photos.

This outfit has a special place in my heart (lol) in the sense that it is a combo of pieces that I have owned for forever, but never had a way to put together. Cailin got me the yellow scalloped skirt when she was out thrifting – maybe a year ago. The shirt was just waiting for turtle necks to make a comeback and the tights were picked up five years ago while studying abroad in London.

I love mixing fancy clothing pieces with really casual ones and that is exactly what I did with this outfit. Cailin and I were in the city to go to Christmas Eve service at Hillsong NYC and to hit up the markets for some last minute shopping. A casual look and sneaks are a great way to stay comfortable when you’re walking all over the city. I knew I was going to wear my Vans because they are super comfortable, so I planned the rest of my outfit around that.
