Vintage is my fave thing for so many reasons. First, I love 1930s-50s fashion. The hunt to find great vintage among the junk in a thrift store is so fun, plus everything you find is unique. It’s a great way to be a sustainable shopper. I’m also a history nerd and like looking up the brands and their stories, and that is exactly what I did for this vintage Jack Winter top.(more…)
Happy Feature Friday!
We are big fans of jewelry, so we are truly loving today’s feature with Liona of Liona Lee Designs! The products she creates are SO unique and we love how she has a distinct design style and cohesive collection, but also makes each earring and necklace stand out with different fabrics and materials. We would never think to create jewelry out of fabric — so when we came across her work we thought it was just the coolest thing! Liona has a ton of great information to share about her jewelry journey and we can’t wait for you to read more about her and see the amazing products she creates for Liona Lee Designs.
: Tell us a little about yourself.
: My name is Liona (pronounced Ly-oh-nah!). I’m 32 years old, married to Ryan, with 2 kids – Mia (4) and Charlie (11 months)! I live in Launceston, Tasmania, Australia. Before I started my own jewellery brand I was a Pharmacy Assistant and Dispensary Technician for 10 years. I loved working in pharmacy but always craved a more creative path.
: How did you start your fabulous jewelry line, Liona Lee Designs?
: I started making jewellery after my daughter was born, as I decided not to go back to work. I am naturally creative and needed an outlet. I wanted something that allowed me to be creative, but also allowed me to stay at home to raise my children. I have always loved all arts and crafts but never one thing in particular. However, after making my first batch of fabric button earrings, I knew I had found my passion, my niche!

For today’s fall outfit I wore this awesome Saturday Evening Post tee that I actually got at a unique gift shop in Buffalo. I tied a crochet sweater around my waist to add an extra fall layer, and threw on my absolute favorite ripped boyfriend jeans. These jeans are perfect because if you don’t feel like wearing tight skinny jeans just yet but it’s too cold for shorts, you can wear a loose boyfriend cut.
I also love the half bun topknot trend since it’s an easy way to make it look like you put some effort into your hair even if it only took 30 seconds! What are some of your favorite fall trends? Whether they be hair, beauty or style we want to know!

One of the great things about Sundays is being able to relax at home in sweats and unwind before the work week starts. However, I always end up doing a few afternoon errands before hauling in for the night. I don’t really go out of the house in sweatpants too often, but I found this perfect pair of sweatpants that are nicer for those lazy days. I mean sometimes you wish you could be one of those people that goes out in the world with their pajamas still on. These are a great alternative because they’re super comfy and great for lounging in, but have a fun patten and not too slouchy fit for a more polished look.
